Managing Partner

Brett has spent the last 25 years of his career building and developing sales teams. The last 13 years being in insurance and financial services. Brett currently holds his FINRA Series 6, 63, 7 and 24 and is a registered principal of the company. This experience along with his remarkable EQ (Emotional Quotient) make him an incredibly valuable member of our team as well as the community.  Along with his role as Managing Partner for the Greater South Carolina General Officee, Brett also serves as President of the coastal chapter of The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Brett not only exudes the qualities required to be successful but also brings out those qualities in the people around him as demonstrated by the success of those he has brought into the business.  Brett is singularly responsible for the entire Myrtle Beach Sales Office and, due to his leadership, vision, and commitment, has built a formidable team including multiple Executive, President's and Chairman's Council Agents, as well as several other agents who are gearing up to follow in Brett's footsteps as partners.

Brett and Heather reside in Little River, SC and have been together for 19 years.

Robert Shoff is a Talent Acquisitionist at New York Life.  He recruits and develops experienced & entry level Financial Professionals that want to build a financial services business with significant income potential, help others achieve financial security, and maintain a flexible schedule.  Bob offers tremendous guidance, encouragement, and training for those who are provided the opportunity to take this path.  He hires new, qualified financial professionals every year, many of which are established professionals seeking a more rewarding career.

Bob’s team consists of individuals who are leaders in insurance, investment and retirement planning.  We specialize in building strategies within the personal, business, senior and estate planning markets.  Bob is passionate in his goal of surpassing client’s expectations and assisting them with investment strategies.  Bob joined New York Life in 2009.  Since then he has achieved Million Dollar Round Table^ and has been a New York Life Council Member since 2010.

Bob grew up on the south shore of Boston, Massachusetts.  His parents were both teachers and as a kid his family would travel to Myrtle Beach every spring vacation.  He immediately fell in love with the Carolina’s and knew when the opportunity came he would migrate south.  Now Bob, his wife Hillary and their two kids call Charleston home.

Reece LeMay is a Talent Recruiter and Practice Mentor at New York Life. He recruits and individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and helps them build holistic, community-oriented financial practices. Reece works with both entry-level and experienced financial professionals and provides guidance and support on leveraging the unique bevy of resources that New York Life offers to build a successful business from the ground up. Reece’s team specializes in helping high net worth clients, young families, and business owners to utilize life insurance, investments, and planning to achieve their financial goals.

Reece grew up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He earned his B.S. in Psychology from Presbyterian College, where he was also a founding member and captain of the school’s men’s lacrosse team. He moved to Charleston in 2008 at attend The Citadel Graduate College, where he earned an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and an M.B.A. Prior to joining New York Life, Reece worked in the clinical research field as a study coordinator and manager.

Reece lives in the West Ashley area with his wife Amanda and two children, Clara and Wesley.

Palmer began his career with New York Life as an Agent in November 2013 in the Greater South Carolina General Office in Charleston, SC. Palmer’s primary motivation to join New York Life was to earn his way into Management by being a successful agent. Driven by a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and an extremely open mind, he was able to obtain Executive Council status and New Organization Agent of the Year in consecutive classes. As a South Carolina native, Palmer’s passion for serving his community, the General Office and agents he works with every day, the opportunity to join the Greater South Carolina Leadership team became the focus for Palmer. With a strong desire to coach and develop others and support the growth of the office he made the transition to Development Manager in May 2017.

In 2012, Palmer graduated from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, as Mike Company Commander with a degree in Business Administration with a focus in accounting.

Palmer currently resides on Johns Island with his wife, Alison, their newborn son, Dixon and three dogs. Without the support and love from his family, Palmer’s accomplishments would not be possible.

Agency Standards

Omero currently serves as the Directory of Agency Standards for both the Greater South Carolina and Greenville General Offices. He works alongside Agents, Staff, and Management to assist in ensuring compliance with Company and Regulatory rules and regulations.

Omero is an experienced financial services professional with a background in providing customer support for a variety of insurance and annuity products. He started his career with New York Life in 2008 as a Service Representative in the Variable Products Service Center. He also has worked within Retail Annuities as part of the Third-Party Distribution Compliance Team and the Market Surveillance Unit of the Corporate Compliance Department.

Work experience and an individual drive for increased comprehension led to Omero obtaining an MBA in Information Systems from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. He is FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 licensed and obtained the FSRI, FMLI, AIRC, ALMI, ARA, and ACS designations from LOMA. Other professional certificates Omero earned include a Johns Hopkins University Data Science Specialization Certificate and a University of Washington Machine Learning Specialization Certificate. Both curriculums were completed through Coursera.
